As promised, my piece from the random words "Hug" and "Seduction".
The Seduction Roses are red and so are my cheeks! This is like sooooo embarassing…. Ummmmmm… Oh Woman, as I lay with my arms wrapped around your naked, peacefully sleeping form, I sit up delicately as to not disturb your rest and I think upon your beauty… And I wonder… Just who you are?… Do I ~know~ somebody with long, red hair? And where we are?… I don’t recall owning a pastel coloured bedroom… And who I am?… Are those my feet? And just what the heck happened last night after I blacked out?… I feel your warm hand slide up my bare back as your surprisingly strong, serpentine arms wrap and wind their way around my chest, suddenly pulling backwards… “G’mornin’ Suga’” you purr into my ear with hot breath “Get back down here! Where did you think you were goin’? Your work ain’t done yet!” GULP! Mmmmmmmmmrrrrrrrfffffffffff!…. Oh, and just where ~did~ that film crew come from? posted by Kusari 6:24 PM This week's homework for my writer's group was two-fold, first we had to write a piece based on words that we pulled at random from a box. The words were all related to a theme befitting this time of year: Love. Not exactly my favorite topic these days, however, I decided to take the challenge in stride and will hopefully have a piece to post before tomorrow's meeting! The second task was to just bring in a little something (poem, song, etc...) about love. as an example our facilitator gave each of use a famous bit of love poetry to read (You will note the quote I posted from the piece I read last week). I'm not exactly a poetry sort, I've always had a very time reading and understanding lyrical writing, well, unless it's in the form of a song. So, I decided that it would be fun to bring in one or two of my favorite songs about love. However, deciding on just a couple turned out to be too much of a challenge, so, in grand "Moulin Rouge" style I decided to create a poem out of lyrics from my favorite love songs. I needed to limit the criteria slightly, (as to avoid an epic that would make Beowulf himself cringe) so I choose only songs that had the word "Love" in their titles and were part of my regular computer playlist. I apologize if any of these lyrics are incorrect, I've done my best to insure accuracy, but you never know with 'net based information sources. If anyone feels up to the task, I’m offering a special art prize to the first person that can correctly identify all the songs I used. There’s 31 in total, however, I have used different lyrics from some songs in more than one place.
