Jack was born in Canada in 1939. Self-taught, he has continued to make his living as a professional artist for the
past 39 years. He has worked in many mediums including oils, acrylics,
watercolours, print making, sculpture, video and music. He has gained
the most recognition from his unique four-dimensional concepts and paper
collage.

His works have been featured on the cover of the Canadian Medical Association Journal (May 15, 1985); the cover
of the book The Plastic Orgasm by Laverne Barnes; The Toronto Star's Canadian Magazine (April 29,
1972); and on the set of the popular T.V. series "Me and Max", created by Steve Smith of "The Red Green Show".

To create the art featured on his website Jack uses a unique paper collage technique which he has developed over a 20 year period.

| Jack has exhibited his work in group and individual shows in Canada and the United States since the early '60`s. He has lived on Manitoulin Island, Canada, for the last 28 years. Each August he has a one man show at the Gore Bay Museum featuring his recent works. |

Jack Whyte's online gallery has remained virtually unchanged since it was originally commissioned in 1998. In 2015 Jack unvieled Jack's Time - an interactive 3D gallery - to coincide with the launch of his one-of-a-kind memoir Scrapbook: a story of art.
